Mpeople Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a well-established business based in the Oldham area that are going through a very exciting time of growth.

Permanent

Full-time: Monday to Friday - 9am-5pm

30 days holiday

Up to £25k Salary + Study Support

You will be reporting to the Financial Controller, working in a friendly & busy atmosphere, being responsible for day to day assistance within the accounts department.

Responsibilities include:

  • Matching, batching & coding invoices
  • Purchase Ledger
  • Assisting with Sales Ledger
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Dealing with queries
  • Credit control duties
  • Some payroll duties
  • VAT returns
  • Processing payment runs
  • Handling petty cash
  • Accounts up to trial balance

Experience & Skill Requirements:

  • Experience working within a varied accounts role (2 years minimum)
  • Have an AAT qualification or currently working towards one
  • Knowledge of Sage 50 software
  • Intermediate Excel skills
