THE COMPANY:

We grow and process an extensive range of salads, speciality herbs, fresh herbs and edible flowers.

Our award winning produce can be found in retail outlets across the nation, as well as being served up in commercial kitchens within the likes of pubs and restaurants throughout the UK.

We sell our products through the foodservice wholesaler/ distributor network, as well as into food manufacturing businesses.

We have been established for almost 30 years and we are proud to be the largest family run herbs company in the UK.

Due to plans for growth, we are now recruiting a Key Account Manager to support us on our journey to further success. The successful candidate will have great opportunities to progress and develop their career further within our business.


THE ROLE:

The successful candidate will be responsible for a large proportion of our business, tasked with managing and growing our largest accounts.

The main aspect of the role is to drive maximum sales within the business. This will be achieved by increasing product sales within existing accounts, as well as winning new profitable business.

As a senior member of our business, the successful candidate will also be involved in implementing sales strategies to assist our growth plans and working with our existing team to move the business forward.

Although the main aspect of the role will entail developing and growing relationships with our distributor partners and food manufacturing businesses, there will also be some contact at end user level, to promote sales and expose our business.

Most of the candidates time will be spent working with procurement managers and buyers, as well as educating and supporting distributor sales teams to maximise growth.


THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

* Will be an experienced sales professional who is familiar with selling into the foodservice wholesale channel or the food manufacturing network.

* Will be a passionate foodie who likes a challenge and is able to work in a fast paced environment, yet has a great commercial acumen.

* Will be a strong relationship developer with good negotiation skills and the ability to both win and grow accounts.

Candidates with experience selling fresh produce or chilled food will be highly advantageous.
