Mpeople Accountancy & Finance is currently seeking a Part Time Accounts Assistant needed for a small business based in Oldham. Working in a small finance team, you will be assisting in credit control and purchase ledger duties.

Part time - Permanent - 20 hours per week

Salary - £22,000 pro rata

Location - Oldham

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Purchase Ledger:

Matching and processing invoices into the system

Supplier statement reconciliations

Expenses and Petty Cash

Bank statement recs

Preparing payment runs

Dealing with supplier queries

  • Credit Control

Chasing overdue payments

Reconciling accounts

Invoice queries

Person Specification:

  • Experience using Sage beneficial
  • Good MS Excel skills
  • Experience in a general accounts department and good understanding of double-entry book-keeping.
  • Excellent telephone manner with the ability to communicate effectively with managers, customers, members of staff and suppliers

Salary + Package

  • Up to £22k (pro rata)
  • Onsite parking
